At least one of five of these teams was in all finals of the World Cup until 2018.

National teams of France and Croatia will meet in the final match of the 2018 World Cup.

For the French, this final will be the third in history, in 1998 they beat Brazil, and in 2006 they lost to Italy. Croats make their debut in the main match of the tournament.

This finale is the 21st in the account (in 1950 there was no finale as such, but everything was decided in the last match of the tournament between Uruguay and Brazil), and the 1st, which will not be attended by any of the five Italy, Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Netherlands.

Of the 40 teams that participated in the finals of the World Cup until 2018, 29 represented one of these five countries.
