RB Leipzig officially announced Ralph Rangnick as the head coach of the team for the season-2018/2019.

The 60-year-old Rangnik headed Ulm, Stuttgart (won the Intertoto Cup), Hannover, Schalke (Cup, Super Cup and League Cup Germany) and Hoffenheim, then moved to Leipzig.

From 2012 to 2015, Rangnik served as sports director of the club, and in the season-2015/2016 led the team and won with her a ticket to the highest division of the championship of Germany. After this, Rangnik lost his post to Ralph Hazenhuttl, and after his departure he returned to the post of head coach.
