The fitness trainer Nun Roman joined the Miner.

Over the past three seasons, Roman worked in Braga, but the head coach of the "miners" Paulo Fonseca insisted on the invitation of a former member of his coaching staff in Shakhtar.

About his role in the team, Nun told the club's press service.

- I am very glad that I joined Shakhtar, and the first impressions are the most positive. This is a competent club, which is well known in the international arena, therefore it is a great honor for me to work here. The team brings together professionals, everything is organized at the highest level and wonderful conditions have been created.

- For three years you were in Braga, which means you were a member of the headquarters of Paulo Fonseca and are well acquainted with him?.

- Yes, we worked together three years ago: an excellent season both in terms of titles, and individual growth of each of us. I'm happy that I can be here in Shakhtar and again become a part of this coaching team. We were not only colleagues, but also friendly, so I closely followed the successes of Paulo Fonseca's staff in Shakhtar and rejoiced at the victories. I really like that football, which show "miners". I, you can say, in love with such a model of the game.

- What is included in your duties?.

- Everything, that is connected with monitoring of physical development of football players. We will engage in fitness and better understand their condition, we can adjust the load for each individually. And, of course, I will have strength training and some analytical moments, where you need to calculate what we want to see from the guys on the field and what indicators they need to go for it.

- What would you like to achieve in Shakhtar?.

- I think the goals are already well expressed: at least it is necessary to keep what has been done to this day and try to make more progress. The last season was very successful: the team won everything in Ukraine and held an excellent campaign in the Champions League, so we need to defend these trophies. We hope and believe that we can do even more and better.
