Turkish midfielder Khalil Altintop announced his retirement.

Kaiserslautern midfielder Khalil Altintop decided to complete his professional career as a football player.

Kaiserslautern, the 35-year-old Turks joined only in January 2018, signing the agreement until 2019, but the parties agreed on early termination of cooperation.

Kaiserslautern hopes that Khalil will agree to become a youth team coach.

Altyntop began his professional career as part of Wattenscheid, after which he defended the colors of Kaiserslautern, Schalke, Frankfurt Eintracht, Trabzonspor, Augsburg and Prague Slavia.

According to Transfermarkt, only at the club level he played 597 matches, in which he scored 136 goals and gave 62 assists.

In addition, on the account of Khalil Altintop 38 matches and eight goals for the national team of Turkey, the colors of which he defended from 2005 to 2011.
