This was during the opening ceremony of a new modern football stadium in the village of Minai, which is in Transcarpathia, told reporters First Vice President FFU Vadim Kostyuchenko.

"What we see in this village is a striking example of respect for the population by local authorities, patrons and sponsors who care about promoting healthy people's way of life. After all, modern sports grounds should be created not only in capitals, but also in peripheral settlements. As practice and the history of our Ukrainian football shows, most Ukrainian football stars come from small towns and villages, "B. Kostyuchenko.

The opening of a rural football facility with a far from provincial name Minai Arena coincided with several special events for the villagers. Together with one of the leaders of domestic football in Transcarpathia came one of the legendary domestic players - Igor Belanov, who brought with him one of his main trophies - the prize of the best footballer of Europe - "Golden Ball".

On the same day, players of the local Minai club in the final match of the Transcarpathian Cup with a devastating 5: 0 score defeated the team of Vilhovets and won the main regional trophy for the second time in a row.

In addition, at the inauguration of the new stadium, Vadim Kostyuchenko officially transferred to the president of FC Minay Valeriy Peresolyak the certificate for the participation of the club in the second professional football league of Ukraine.
