Lester took advantage of Johnny Evans' clausula - 3.5 million pounds. Such a low price is due to the departure of "thrushes" from the Premier League.

To buy the Northern Irish defender for a long time wanted Manchester City. However, the parties have not agreed, because West Bromwich demanded for the defender 30 million pounds. This is approximately 8.5 times more than the "thrushes" got in the end.

Evans was the captain of West Brom, but in the winter was involved in a scandal. During the Spanish team gathering he, along with three other players in a state of intoxicated, hijacked a taxi.

In Leicester, Evans will compete for a place at the base with team captain Wes Morgan and England defender Harry Maguire.
