Defender of Barcelona Samuel Umtiti signed a new contract with the champion of Spain until the summer of 2023, with the clausula in the new agreement increased from 60 million euros to 500 million.

Umtiti was acquired by Barcelona from Lyon in the summer of 2016 for 25 million euros and was one of the lowest-paid players of the first team. The salary of Samuel under the new contract is not disclosed.

For two years at the Camp Nou, the 24-year-old defender played 83 games, winning the La Liga and two Copa del Rey.
