"The final games of the Cup of the Unconquered" between the teams of war veterans and the anti-terrorist operation in the east of Ukraine that took place in Kiev on the eve of the final matches of the UEFA Champions League unequivocally underscore the importance that the leadership of the Ukrainian Football Federation gives to such tournaments. And these matches have always been and will be in the priority of FFU! ". About the results of the decisive football matches between the teams composed of participants of the ATU, said the first vice-president of FFU Vadim Kostyuchenko.
As Vadim Kostyuchenko noted, this project is an initiative of the authorized President of Ukraine on the rehabilitation of ATU participants Vadim Sviridenko and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and the organizer of the competition was the Football Federation of Ukraine.
Six teams from different regions of the country, formed from the veterans of the ATU, who were seriously injured, defending our state in the east.
"During the preparation of this tournament, the organizing committee decided to expand the circle of its participants, which was a logical step. Therefore, in the current event, the players of the national team among amputees took part: ATU veterans, who were seriously injured during the fighting. "Such meetings, sports events and communication between our heroes between the twins from different regions of the country - are very necessary. This helps maintain the morale of the current military personnel and demonstrates a positive example for the younger generation. I especially emphasize that it is thanks to our soldiers, thanks to their courage, that we can now conduct the finals of the UEFA Champions League in Kiev and receive guests from all over the world! ", - stressed the president of the FFU Andrei Pavelko.
According to the results of the final games, the victory was won by a team from FC "Volyn Yes", which in the fight against rivals won a confident victory in football battles and won the Cup, which was already delivered to Lutsk.
And as First Vice-President of FFU Vadim Kostyuchenko stressed, the main honorable award from the Football Federation of Ukraine for the winners of the Cup of the Unconquered will be the invitation of the Volyn team to become fans of the final match of the UEFA Champions League in Kiev. And absolutely all the teams participating in these events received certificates for attending matches of the Ukrainian National Football Team, which will be held in the near future.
