Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo decided to make another attempt to negotiate with the Spanish tax.

Cristiano Ronaldo, accused of tax evasion, is ready to plead guilty to four violations of Spanish tax law and pay 14 million, which the state treasury was short on, in exchange for lifting charges, reports El Mundo.

The lawyers of the football player have transferred this proposal to the Spanish tax inspection and are now waiting for a response. Earlier, the tax office rejected the first offer of lawyers Cristiano to agree.

Initially, Ronaldo was accused of not paying a tax on income from the use of his image rights in the amount of 14.7 million euros, but lawyers managed to reduce it by 700 thousand.

If the matter comes to court, and the court ruled in favor of the state, at best, in addition to paying the debt (14 million), Cristiano will be paid, under Spanish law, a sum equal to six times the increased debt (84 million). That is, only about 100 million euros. Naturally, the football player and his advisers want to do without a peace agreement.

Earlier, Cristiano Ronaldo categorically did not plead guilty and even said that the case was brought to him only because of his loud name.
