Arsenal is at an advanced stage of negotiations to purchase the central defender of Dortmund Borussia Sokratis Papastathopoulos, reports Gianluca Di Marzio.

The agreement of the 29-year-old Greek with the German club is calculated until next summer and he is not going to sign a new contract, so the leadership of Borussia D is ready to part with the player.

According to Bild, the transaction amount will be about 20 million euros.

In the current season Papastathopoulos spent 43 matches for Borussia in all tournaments, which scored three goals, got nine yellow and one red card.
