Renato Sanchez did not qualify for Portugal's extended squad for the 2018 World Cup

Coaching staff of the Portuguese national team unveiled an expanded list of players to participate in the World Cup.

Fernando Santos named the names of 35 players who might find themselves in the national team's bid for the 2018 World Cup.

Note that the list includes 16 players who two years ago became champions of Europe. Among those who did not hit, Renato Sanchez, who failed the season in Bavaria and Swansea.

Note that there is in the list not a stranger for ULL defender Antunes, who spoke for Dynamo.

Goalkeepers: Anthony Lopes (Lyon, France), Betu (Goztepe, Turkey), Rui Patriciu (Sporting);.

Defenders: Antunes (Getafe, Spain), Bruno Alves (Rangers, Scotland), Cedric Suarez (Southampton, England), Joao Cancela (Inter, Italy), Jose Fonte (Dalian Ifan, China), Luis Netu (Fenerbahce, Portugal), Mario Rui (Napoli, Italy), Nelson Semedou (Barcelona, ??Spain), Pepe (Besiktas, Turkey), Rafael Guerreiro (Borussia, Dortmund, Germany), Ricardo Pereira (Porto), Roland (Marseille, France), Ruben Diaz (Benfica );.

The Portuguese team will play in Group B with the teams of Spain (June 15), Morocco (June 20) and Iran (June 25).
