After defeating Olimpik with a score of 2-0 in the 30th round of the Ukrainian championship, coach Nikolai Kostov answered the journalists' questions.
- I think the victory of our team today deserved. I congratulate my players on this. Despite the fact that we are in the last place, we fight to the end. And my players deserve applause for it. On the game you yourself saw that our team did not miss in the first half. For us, it was important, so playing, not to miss in the first 30 minutes, then adjust your game. On such a good field, I had no doubt that our team will be able to show good football. I will repeat, as I said at the beginning - the well-deserved victory of our team.
- The first goal in today's match was scored by Orest Kuzyk. Many western clubs show interest to Orestes. How do you rate his game?.
- There is interest in Orestes Kuzyk. He is a very strong player. I talked about this at a previous press conference. A young player with good potential. I'll be glad if he goes to a good club, where he can develop his potential, and not in a team that will fight for survival. Because he is an interesting player, creating good moments near the opponent's gate.
- Until the end of the championship there are two rounds. How do you assess the chances of Steel in the struggle for survival?.
- Our chances are similar to those that were in the first five rounds. We continue the fight to the end. I'm very glad that there is intrigue. I think that our team deserves attention.. Our players are very young, but good. I am very glad that they already demonstrate the character, we can say, adapted to the requirements of football in the ULL. And this is a difficult championship. I can only say compliments to my players. I think that our team deserves a place in the elite division of the championship of Ukraine. Even in spite of all the difficult moments in which the club fell. I mean the organization and other moments. If there are sponsors, I think that this team has a good future.
- Will you take someone from the players for today's game as part of your team?.
- I think that today Steel showed team football. It will not be fair if I single out any of the players specifically, and the rest will be left out of attention. I do not want to praise someone specifically and, thus, offend everyone else.
