"Dragons" have issued the title for two matches before the end of the national championship.

In the 37th round of the Portuguese championship, Porto's main competitor, Sporting, tied with Benfica (0-0).

This allowed the "dragons" to break away from the Lisbon in the standings for 4 points and for two matches before the end of the championship (their match on the 37th tour, the team of Sergio Conceicao will hold today) to register the champion title.

This victory in the championship of Portugal was for Porto first since 2013. Note that the last 4 years the title was won by Benfica.
