CONMEBOL confirmed the composition of the 12 participants of the Copa America, which will be held in 2019.

Among the participants in the America's Cup in 2019, there were also two Asian teams - Qatar and Japan. They will play in the tournament along with teams such as Brazil and Argentina.

For Qatar this will be the first participation in Copa America, but Japan has already tried its hand at this tournament. In 1999 she failed to leave the group.

Initially, it was expected that in the 2019 tournament will participate 16 teams - as in the previous one, and among the guests will be Spain and Portugal.

But CONMEBOL reported that there will be only 12. Schedule of matches is still unknown.

The last two Copa Americas won the Chilean team, beating Argentina on penalties in both 2015 and 2016.
