Former Palermo President Maurizio Dzamparini resigned from the board of directors of the club and announced the sale of his stake.

According to the official website of the club, Dzamparini, for 15 years as president Palermo fired more than 40 coaches, left the club's directors and decided to sell all of his shares in Palermo. In November 2017, Dzamparini resigned as president of Palermo, and since then the club is run by the chairman of the board of directors Giovanni Jammarva.

Dzamparini in 1987 acquired the team of the Series Che2 Venice, which he was able to bring to Serie A.

In 2002, he sold Venice and bought Palermo, who spoke at the time in Serie B and two years later brought the Sicilians to the Italian elite.

At the moment, Palermo is the fourth in Serie B, giving the right to participate in the playoffs for getting into Serie A, and behind the three rounds to the finish line behind the second place, guaranteeing a direct hit in the elite division, only two points.
