Daniele Orsato will be one of the video referee assistants at the 2018 World Cup finals.

A day after the controversial refereeing of Daniela Orsato during the 35th round match of the Italian Inter-Juventus Championship (2: 3), the referee was appointed to the 2018 World Cup as one of three Italian video referee assistants.

Together with Orsato in the number of thirteen video assistants of the referee, approved for the final tournament of the World Cup, included his compatriots Massimiliano Irrati and Paolo Valerie.

Also at the World Cup 2018 as the main arbiter will work Italian Gianluca Rocky.

In the match against Giuseppe Meazza, won by the guests with a score of 3: 2, the biggest controversy was caused by the removal of Vesino as part of Inter and Orsato's decision not to show the second yellow card to Pjanic in Juventus.
