The clubs of the Premier League voted against the introduction of the VAR in the next season

In the next season, the English Premier League will still manage without video replay.

On the refusal of the Premier League clubs from the idea of ??introducing video replay (VAR) reports Sky Sports. In the next campaign, they will only be in the advanced testing stage.

"Premier League clubs have agreed to continue the advanced testing of the VAR in the 2018/19 season," reads the statement of the Premier League.

"The decision was made after a thorough discussion of the use of the VAR in English football, as well as key cases from practice in other countries".



"The clubs agreed that before the end of the 2018/19 season, advanced testing will be conducted to improve the system, especially with regard to communication within the stadium, as well as those who follow the process from home".

"Also, the Premier League will ask that the VAR more intensively used in the next season in the FA Cup and the League Cup".

This season, video replay was used in the cup English competitions. They gave rise to many contradictions, mainly because of the uncertainty for the fans during the use by the VAR judges.

Fans felt uncertainty in some matches, when decisions were taken for long periods of time.
