For the first time since the final tournament of the World Cup in 1938, there will be no arbitrators from England on the mundiale.

In the list of 99 referees and their assistants who will work in the final tournament of the 2018 World Cup there was no place for the English.



The only English referee who managed to get into the expanded list of FIFA in 2016 was Mark Klattenburg, but his decision in February 2017 to go to work in Saudi Arabia put an end to the chances of being at the World Cup 2018. Thus, for the first time since World Cup-1938, there will be no English judges at the world championship.

By the way, at the last two world championships, 2010 and 2014, the only main arbiter from England was Howard Webb, so the authority of the English judiciary has long been low ...
