Last summer, the Chinese-led consortium borrowed a loan from Elliott Management for about 180 million euros in order to complete the purchase of Milan.

According to the newspaper La Repubblica, Lee tried to use his investments in the crypto currency and offered to pay off part of the debts with bitcoins, but Elliott refused to accept this type of payment.
