As reported by Marca, the head coach of "checkers" Zlatko Dalic answered with the request to the mentor of the "royal club" Zinedine Zidane and provided Modric with additional rest, releasing him from the location of the Croatian national team to Madrid.

Two other star representatives of La Liga - club-mate Luke Mateo Kovacic and Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic against Mexico will play.

The match between Croatia and Mekika will be held on March 28.
