Freddie Adu joined Las Vegas Lights

Once-promising midfielder Freddy Adu will play in the second division of the United States.

Midfielder Freddy Adu officially became a player of Las Vegas Lights. This club spends its first season in the USL - the second league in the US and Canada after the MLS. It should be noted that there is also NASL, which also has the status of the second division.

Adu at the age of 14 became the youngest professional sportsman in the history of modern American team sports, was considered very talented, but nowhere has he managed to realize his potential.



Now Freddy is 28 and he has not played since 2016, when he played for Tampa Bay Raudiz in NASL.

Las Vegas will be the 14th club in 14 years of professional career of an American with Ghanaian roots.

In the summer of 2017, Adu came to watch in the camp of the newcomer to the Polish Extraclia Sandentzi, but the coach refused him, saying that "instead of building a team, we are looking for old vacuum cleaners".

On account of Adu 17 matches for the US team, the last of which was played in 2011.
