Midfielder Manchester United Michael Carrick officially announced the end of his career at the end of the season.
Macl Carrick will end his career as a player and will most likely join Jose Mourinho's coaching team in Manchester United.
"There comes a time when the body tells you that it's time to stop - quotes the 36-year-old midfielder of the Air Force. "When I first came to Manchester United, I could not think that I would stay here for so long and win so many trophies".
Carrick moved to Manchester United from Tottenham in 2006, played 463 matches (24 goals) for the Red Devils and won the Champions League, the Europa League, the Club World Cup, five Premier League titles, the FA Cup and three English League Cups.
This season, Michael played only four games because of his cardiac arrhythmia.
