Miron Markevich, the head of the Committee of National Teams of the Ukrainian Football Federation, shared his thoughts on the national championship and the prospects of youth teams in the Elite round of the European Championship with the FFU's official website.

- The first stage of the championship of the Premier League has come to the end. What conclusions can be drawn from its results?.

- I think the seats in the first six were distributed fairly. It could have turned out to be Olympique, if the team had not left the team of leading players in the winter. In such conditions, it is very difficult for a coach to work.

- After the victory over Zarey Dynamo has preserved the intrigue in the fight for the championship, and who is the main contender for the "bronze"?.

- Vorskla has an advantage over Zarei in four points, but to play ten more rounds. And if we proceed from the quality of the game, I would bet on Zarju. It seems to me that Yuri Vernidub's team is acting with a margin, while the Poltava players are on their way to the limit.

- Will the struggle be interesting in the second six?.

- Why not? Only Olympic can feel in relative safety. Team Roman Sanzhar already, in fact, can prepare for the next championship. But the rest will have to sweat, not to finish in the last place or not be among the participants in the transitional matches.

- Is the progress of the national youth noticeable?.

- At the moment, Victor Tsygankov is out of the competition. A very interesting midfielder, the main thing is that his injuries are bypassed. And in general, in terms of professional growth of young people, there is really nothing to brag about.

- Two youth national teams of Ukraine (U-17 and U-19) made their way to the elite round of the European Championship. Is it a success?.

- We expect the maximum result from these teams, but the problem is that our players are sometimes deprived of game practice, as coaches are betting on the legionnaires. First of all, it concerns Shakhtar and Dynamo.

In the elite round of the European Championships (U-17) our team will perform in Group 1, where its rivals will be the Czech Republic (the hosts of the tournament), Serbia and Spain.

The first match wards Oleg Kuznetsov will play March 21 against the Spaniards.

On March 21, our team will start in the elite round of the European Championship (U-19) - Alexander Petrakov's wards will play against Sweden. Also in Group 4 will play teams of Serbia and the hosts of the tournament - Romania.
