The former head coach of Lille Marcelo Bielsa must compensate the "daughters" for damage in the amount of 300 thousand euros.
Marcelo Bielsa led Lille before the start of the current campaign, spending on transfers 64 million euros.
However, the "Great Danes" disastrously started the season and eventually ended up in the relegation zone, and in November the Argentine coach left Chile without the permission of the club, for which he was suspended from work. After the domestic proceedings, the leadership of the French club broke the contract with Bielsa.
In response, the coach demanded the club 18 million euros compensation for unfair dismissal. Nevertheless, the court not only rejected all the requirements of the coach, but ordered him to pay Lillu 300 thousand euros for the damage.
It is expected that Bielsa will appeal this decision, and a new hearing will be held on March 13.
