According to The Times, clubs of the English Premier League will receive up to 13 days of rest in February 2020.

The Football Association of England, Premier League and the Football League have agreed on a short break from the 2019/20 season (it's impossible to enter the break in the next season, since it is included in a three-year deal on which it is almost impossible to change the calendar).

For the first two weeks of February clubs will play only for the 1st Premier League match.

5 matches will be held in one weekend, 5 more in the other. Also those clubs that break into the 5th round of the FA Cup will hold their matches of this tournament in the middle of one of the weeks.

The break will only be introduced in the Premier League and will not affect the calendar of other English leagues.
