Crystal Palace is at an advanced stage of negotiations with Brazilian goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri.

Crystal Palace is close to signing goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri as a free agent.

The 35-year-old Brazilian left Fluminense last year, and last week he trains with "eagles".

Manager Palas Roy Hodgson confirmed that the club is negotiating with Cavalieri about the contract before the end of the season and he expects that in the near future the parties will enter into an agreement.

Cavalieri already has experience of performing in England: from 2008 to 2010 he was a player of Liverpool, for the first team he played 10 matches, in which he missed 12 goals and kept his goal "dry" four times.

Also, the goalkeeper defended the colors of Palmeiras and Cesena, and for the Brazilian national team held three matches.
