The Football Association of England has not found evidence that the forward of Liverpool Roberto Firmino insulted Everton's defender Mason Holgate on racial grounds.
Football Association removed suspicions from Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino for insults to Everton's defender Mason Holgate on racial grounds.
In early January, in the FA Cup match between Firmino and Holgate, a scuffle took place, and after the game, Everton's defender complained to Judge Bobby Madley that the Brazilian had offended him on racial grounds.
The Football Association began investigating these allegations, which resulted in failing to find evidence that Firmino had indeed offended Holgate on racial grounds.
"We examined all available evidence, but we consider that they are not enough to raise charges against Firmino," reads the statement of the FA.
"Nevertheless, we are completely satisfied that Holgate filed a complaint, and we are sure that he did it in good faith and without intentional intent to slander the opponent. We continue to take seriously all allegations of discrimination and urge all who believe that they have been victims or witnesses of discrimination, to report it through appropriate channels ".
