Leicester will pay the Football League a fine of 3.1 million pounds for violating the rules of the financial fair play in the 2013/14 season.

In the 2013/14 season, when Lester won the Championship, the club's losses amounted to 20.8 million pounds, far exceeding the limit of eight million pounds.

Despite this, the "foxes" refused to admit their guilt in violating the rules of the financial fair play, claiming that 13 of these 20.8 million pounds were "permissible" losses.

This led to the fact that the Football League organized an investigation, after which the parties reached a compromise - Lester agreed to pay a fine of 3.1 million pounds.
