Left-back Chelsea manager Marcos Alonso believes that for his team it is important to successfully prove themselves in a home match against Barcelona in order to have chances of reaching the next round.

"We know that they were one of the best teams in the world in recent years, if not the best, and this will undoubtedly be a very difficult confrontation," said Alonso.

"I think we should defend very well and use our chances, because, as I said, this team is very difficult to beat, not to mention to do it on the sum of two matches. Nevertheless, we will prepare as well as possible, try to do something and see how the confrontation develops ".

"The general opinion is that it's better to play the game back at home, but I do not think it matters much. Naturally, it will be important to successfully prove yourself in the first home game, so that we have a good chance in an away match at the Nou Camp, where it is always very difficult to expect a victory ".
