In the middle of the week, West Bromwich decided to organize a small gathering in Spain. As a result, about 5:30 on Thursday, four players "thrushes" in a state of intoxication drove a taxi. On it they arrived at the hotel.
Later the police found them, interrogated them and released them. The car was safely returned to the owner.
West Brom published an apology for players - Evans, Barry, Livermore and Mayhill.
"We would like to apologize to our teammates, the head coach, the club and especially the fans for the events that were widely and negatively publicized in the media," reads the statement.
"We believe it was important to disclose their names so that the suspicion of participation in the incident did not fall on our teammates".
"We recognize that we have violated the curfew on the team and are bringing our apology for this.
We did not comply with the standards of professionalism that are required of us, as representatives of FC West Bromwich Albion ".
"The club informed us that it would conduct an internal investigation. We are ready to contribute in every possible way ".
"Also we would like to assure our fans that this incident will not affect our determination and desire to correct the unsuccessful season of".
After 27 rounds "thrushes" are in last place in the Premier League, behind the saving zone by 7 points.
