"Red Devils" do not intend to sell the name of the Old Trafford stadium, but because of this they lose about 26 million pounds a year.

Manchester United could earn about 26 million pounds per season, if he sold the stadium name to the sponsors, says the financial company Duff & Phelps.

That's 7 million pounds more than Man City earns from a similar deal with Etihad.

According to Duff & Phelps, the stadium name market in England grew by 80% - from 74.6 million pounds in 2013 to 135.6 in 2017. At the same time, more than 75% of this amount falls on the clubs of the "big six".

United, however, had previously repeatedly stated that he did not intend to change the name of the stadium and since then nothing has changed.

According to the study, Chelsea Stadium Stamford Bridge is ranked third at a potential cost - about 18 million pounds per year. Next comes the future Tottenham Stadium - 15.

5 million, half a million more than Arsenal receives from Emirates. Liverpool with its Anfield Road takes 6th place - 11.1 million pounds.

It is noted that usually sponsors are reluctantly interested in the legendary stadiums, such as Old Trafford or Anfield Road, as their names are firmly entrenched in the memory of consumers.

At the same time, the company recognizes that these estimates are approximate and in practice deviations from them are possible.
