West Bromwich Jay Rodriguez, who was accused of using racist remarks, intends to clear his name.

FA accused West Bromwich forward Jay Rodriguez of being racist towards Brighton Gaetan Bong.

"Absolutely devastated and I can not believe in what situation it turned out," - wrote Rodriguez on his page on Twitter.

"I categorically deny these false accusations and enlist the proper legal assistance to prove my innocence".

The Englishman has time until February 16 to respond to charges.
