During the January transfer window, Manchester City acquired the defender Emeric Laporte from Athletic for 65 million euros.

Laporte started his career in a small club Sporting Union from Agen, who now performs in the eighth division of France, and was on the verge of bankruptcy.

However, according to the rules, they are entitled to 0.25% of the transfer amount for each of the four seasons that Laporte spent in their youth team. In total, Sporting Union will receive 650 thousand euros, which is three times higher than their annual budget.

This amount will help the club settle accounts with creditors and avoid bankruptcy.
