Attacker West Brom Jay Rodriguez faces a prolonged disqualification if he is found guilty of racist statements.

The Football Association of England accused West Bromwich striker Jay Rodriguez of insulting Brighton's Gaetan Bong player on racial grounds.

The statement of the FA states that Rodriguez "used abusive and / or offensive words, including including ethnicity and / or skin color and / or race".

The incident occurred on January 13 during a full-time meeting of the teams. Then there was a skirmish between the players, during which Rodriguez squeezed his nose with his fingers and made a gesture, as if an unpleasant smell emanated from Bong.

Later, Bong said in an interview with SFR Sport that Rodriguez allegedly told him: "You're black and stinks of you".

West Bromwich has already issued a statement in support of his player, who is extremely upset by such accusations in his address. Rodriguez must respond to charges before February 16.
