Rijeka signed a contract with the Bulgarian striker Valery Bozhinov, the official website of the Croatian club.

To the new club, the 31-year-old striker joined as a free agent, and the agreement is calculated until the end of the current season with the option of extending for two years.

Bozhinov began his professional career in Lecce, after which he played for Fiorentina, Juventus, Manchester City, Parma, Lisbon Sporting, Verona, Vicenza, Levski, Ternanu, Partizan, Meizhou Haka and Lausanne.

In the current season, Rijeka, the current champion of the country, scored 35 points in 20 games and ranks fourth in the standings.
