Lyngby had serious financial problems, which led to delays in the wages of players.

FC Lyngby is experiencing serious financial difficulties, which is why his players can leave in the status of free agents.

Lyngby went to the elite division in 2016 and immediately took third place. He even reached the third round of the qualification of the European League this season.

However, as of February 2, the club had huge debts on the salaries of football players. The trade union of the players interfered in the case, and from February 7 the players received the status of free agents and can leave the club.

Local media reported that the Swedish defender Simon Strand had already returned to his homeland in Dalkurd, although only in January he signed a three-year contract with Lyngby.

There is a possibility that Lyngby simply does not have players for the next championship match against Brondby on Sunday.

Salvation for the club can come from the English Champion. Aston Villa negotiates for cooperation with Lyngby, which will help develop young talent in England and Denmark.

The Board of Directors Lyngby said that negotiations are currently underway to sell the club.
