Chelsea acquired left-back Emerson Palmieri of Roma, the official website of the "blue".

23-year-old Emerson signed a contract until 2022, and the transfer was 20 million euros plus nine million euros as bonuses. In the composition of Chelsea, he will act under the 33rd number.

Palmieri is a pupil of Santos, and his first experience in European football was in the season 2014/15 on loan to Palermo.

In Roma, he moved in the summer of 2015, also on loan, and in December 2016, the Romans bought it for two million euros.

In the current season, Emerson spent only two games for the first team of Roma, as he only recently recovered from a serious knee injury. In all, Emerson spent 47 matches in all of the tournaments in which he scored two goals.
