The Royal Spanish Football Federation is investigating the statements of the Barcelona players Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique.

In the return quarterfinal match of the Cup of Spain, Barcelona beat Espanyol 2: 0 and on the sum of two matches (2: 1) passed on.

After the game, Busquets said that "Barcelona put Espanyol in place". Sergio was dissatisfied with the celebrations of Hispaniola after the first fight - "the players of Hispaniola celebrated as if they had already passed on".

As for Pique, he called the club "Espanyol Cornell" instead of "Espanyol Barcelona". "Parrots" are sure: thus he hinted that Espanyol is not a real Barcelona team, because the club moved to the Catalan municipality of Cornella de Llobregat.

The official website of Espanyol reported that the club filed a petition with the Royal Spanish Football Federation to investigate the statements of Barca players.

In addition, Espanol insists that fans of the "blue-garnet" during the match used "numerous xenophobic chants".

In the semifinals of the Cup of Spain, Barcelona will play against Valencia.
