Head coach of the Slovak national team Jan Kozak commented on the results of the draw of the League of Nations.

As a result of the draw of the League of Nations tournament, the Ukrainian team was in the B1 group, where it will play against the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The tournament, in which the teams will play two matches against each other, starts in September this year.

"An interesting group from our geographical neighbors," commented Jan Kozak, head coach of the Slovak national team, on the Sport website. sk. "We have lived with the Czechs for many years, and from this point of view, there has always been and will be a rivalry between us. With Ukrainians, we have met three times recently and we know them well. In the Ukrainian national team there are a lot of cool players who, in addition, have been playing together for a long time. I think that fights with our rivals will be interesting to fans. If we want to compete for an exit in Division A, then we must take a responsible approach to the preparations for the upcoming matches. In our group there is no obvious favorite. The basis of the Ukrainian team has a huge potential, and the Czech Republic is in search of the optimal composition, and the best Czech players play in the strong European championships ".

The national teams of Ukraine and Slovakia held five matches among themselves (three comrades and two in the qualifying tournament of Euro-2016). Two victories were won by our team - 3: 2 (10. 02. 2009, TM) and 2: 1 (10. eleven. 2017, TM), two meetings ended in a draw - 1: 1 (28. 04. 2004, TM) and 0: 0 (08. 09. 2015, OCHE), and once success was accompanied by the Slovaks - 1: 0 (08. 09. 2014, OCHE).
