Olympiakos stopped co-operation with head coach Takis Lemonis, the official website of the Greek club.

Lemonis led Olympiakos in September, and after 15 rounds the team took the first place in the standings of the Greek Super League, ahead of AEK and PAOK one point.

At the same time, the "red-white" scored only one point in the group stage of the Champions League in the quartet with Juventus, Lisbon Sporting and Barcelona, ??with which they played in a draw.

57-year-old Lemonis left Olympiakos for the fourth time, previously working with the club from 2000 to 2002, from 2006 to 2008, as well as in the end of last season. Under his leadership, the club four times became the champion of Greece, and also once won the Super Cup of the country.

At the same time, the leadership of Olympiakos offered Lemonis to stay in the club for another position.
