Liverpool paid Southampton 75 million pounds for the central defender Virgil van Dyck.
"I'm very happy to be here and can not wait to get started," said van Dyck.
"I think the scale of the club, its culture, the players, the manager and obviously the fans make Liverpool so special".
"Given the history of the club and everything that surrounds it - even the training base and the like - it's just the perfect place for me, and also an ideal place for my family".
"Enfield is a very special stadium and now it's my home. I can not wait to go out on his field as a Liverpool player ".
In the first half of the season, Van Dijk spent 12 matches for Southampton in the English Premier League.
