Last week there were news that Everton plans to offer a job to an experienced German mentor Ralph Rangnick.

In his time, Ralph led a number of clubs of the Bundesliga, including Hoffenheim and Schalke, but in recent seasons he is the sporting director of Leipzig.

It seems that the "toffee" missed another candidate for the coaching post, as on the eve of Rangnik signed a new contract with Belarus.

I'm sure our path is just beginning, "Rangnik said in an interview with the official website of Leipzig.

"My decision to extend the contract is connected with devotion to this beautiful club and city in which I feel very comfortable".

On the eve of Everton in the Premier League suffered another defeat - this time from Southampton (1: 4).

At the moment "toffee" occupy 16 place in the Premier League standings.

As for Leipzig, it is located on the second line in the Bundesliga.
