Former coach of Real and Bavaria Carlo Ancelotti could become the head coach of the Croatian national team.

The Croatian Football Federation continues its attempts to get Carlo Ancelotti, who is currently out of work after being fired from Bavaria.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Carlo is really close to signing with the "checkered" contract.

According to the publication, active participation in the negotiation process takes the former ward of the Italian specialist and captain of the national team of Croatia Luka Modric, who is a kind of intermediary between the coach and the federation.

Ancelotti himself wants to conclude a contract from December 2017 to July 2018, but the Croats try to persuade him to sign the agreement until June 2020.

Earlier it was reported that Carlo could replace Antonio Conte in Chelsea.
