Remi Garde became the new head coach of MLS club Montreal Impact, signing a three-year contract, the official website of the Canadian club.
The 51-year-old Frenchman is known for his game for Lyon, Strasbourg, Arsenal and the French team, as well as coaching at Lyon and Aston Villa.
He helped raise such players as Alexander Lacazette, Anthony Marcial, Maxim Gonalon, Clement Grenier, Samuel Umtiti, Nabil Fequir Korenten Tolisso.
The last place Gard's work was Aston Villa, which he trained from November 2015 to March 2016, leaving the "villans" by mutual agreement, when they were at the bottom of the standings.
