Defender of the Greek national team Costas Manolas will miss the first play-off match against Croatia.

Greece took the second place in their qualifying group for the World Cup in 2018 and became a participant in the playoffs. In the play-offs the rival of the Greeks was the national team of Croatia, which knocked out of the fight for the exit to the World Cup Ukraine.

According to ESPN, in the first match with the Croats will not help his team Costas Manolas.

FIFA punished the 26-year-old football player for an intentionally received warning in the match of the 9th, penultimate, qualifying round against Cyprus (2-1).

Roma's defender in that match in the 90th minute received a yellow card for the delay of time. FIFA decided that the Greek did it intentionally, because in this way he reached a bust of yellow cards, which meant the pass of the last round match against Gibraltar and the zeroing of "mustard" before the butt matches.
