Fabregas moved to Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer of 2014, signing with the "blue" five-year agreement until 2019.

Earlier it was reported that the London club could offer the Spanish a new contract, and Fabregas himself hopes that this will indeed happen.

"Yes, I want to renew the contract with Chelsea, because the club is very nice to me," - admitted Fabregas.

"I give all my strength for the club and we have mutual respect with our fans. This is a fantastic club and I hope to sign a new contract. Time will tell".

In May, Fabregas turned 30 years old, and according to Chelsea's policy, they offer players who are over 30, only one-year contracts.

"People start to panic when a football player turns 30 years old, but I feel young. From the last 48 matches I missed only one, and then because of the disqualification of ".

In the current season, Fabregas held for Chelsea 13 matches in the Premier League and the Champions League, in which he scored one goal and gave two assists.
