Ex-midfielder Ajax and Ghana's national team Abubakari Yakubu died in hospital.
Yakubu went through the youth academy of Ajax and debuted for the Amsterdam team on April 19, 2000.
Subsequently, Abubakari in the capital's team twice became the champion of the Netherlands and once again the owner of the national cup.
His entire career Yakubu spent in Holland, where, in addition to Ajax, played for Vitesse.
Also, Abubakari defended the colors of Ghana from 2002 to 2006.
In 2009, the player hung his boots on the nail, completing his professional career as a player.
On the eve of Yakubu died in one of the Ghanaian hospitals. The cause of death is still unknown.
