This season, Arsenal for the first time in 20 years will not play in the Champions League. Instead, the "Gunners" will try themselves in the second most prestigious club European tournament.
According to the experienced goalkeeper of Londoners Petr Cech, now his team must decide on the plans for the European League.
"We need to make a decision," said the Czech goalkeeper in an interview with the London's Evening Standard.
"When I played in Chelsea, we were upset by the results of the group stage of the Champions League, but we firmly decided that since we have to play in the European League, we want to win it".
"Or do you take this tournament seriously - then you will have a chance to win in it, or set yourself other priorities and let the Europa League take its course," said Cech.
His first match in the group stage of the Europa League Arsenal will host September 14 against Cologne.
