The most famous football player in the history of Icelandic football Eidur Gudjohnsen hung his boots on a nail.

The 38-year-old striker officially finished appearing as a professional football player.

During his career, Gudjohnsen won many prestigious trophies, including two titles of the champion of England, the title of champion of Spain and the Champions League Cup.

Eidur spent most of his career in Chelsea, for which the Icelander performed from 2000 to 2006, having played a total of 186 matches and scoring 54 goals.

In 2006, Gudjohnsen moved to Barcelona, ??

where he became part of the legendary team of Pep Guardiola, who won the treble in the 2008-2009 season. For Barcelona, ??Eydur spent 72 matches, having distinguished himself 10 times.
