The president of the European Football Union Alexander Cheferin believes that many provisions of the financial Fair Play need to be modernized.

UEFA President Alexander Cheferin acknowledged that in modern conditions, the mechanisms of financial fair play in the old form are no longer effective.

"Now the critical moment has come," Cheferin said at a press conference. - Financial Fair Play was created to maintain stability in the football world, and for a long time it worked successfully. However, times change. Financial Fair Play is outdated. Many provisions of these rules need to be changed.

The gap between "big" and "small" clubs is becoming wider. It is impossible to stop this process, but we can somehow slow it down and soften it ".

Several years ago, Roma, Inter, Manchester City and a number of other clubs were punished for violating the principles of the Financial Fair Play.. Now under the close attention of UEFA and FIFA hit PSG.
